How to play

Learn it in two minutes

1

Roll and move

Throw the dice and walk your guardian around the board. Each square belongs to an element: Fire, Water, Earth or Air.

2

Draw your monsters

Land on an element to draw its card. Attack cards hit, Defense cards block, Special cards bend the rules. Keep up to three in reserve.

3

Strike or shield

Every player starts with 3,000 health. Play two cards per turn, stack them for combos, and be the last guardian standing.

Our story

Born in Burundi, est. 2017

Mononster started as a hand-made card game on a table in Bujumbura. The drums you hear in the game are inspired by the ingoma, the royal drums of Burundi.

Today it runs in any browser, in five languages, with online rooms and Ranked seasons — and it is still free to play.
